Clean often
Now days taking a shower only once per day just is not enough. Teenagers are around smoke, smog, dirt, makeup, and perfume all day which can cause your pours to clog up. You don't need much dirt to clog up your pours, the smallest amount of dirt can wreck havoc on your skin, so make sure you shower at least 2 times per day.
More Rest Is Best
Many doctors recommend a teenager getting at least 8 hours of sleep or money, but is this enough. Studies show that active teenagers need at least 9 hours of sleep to get over the stress of everyday life and make them feel rejuvenated for the following day. Getting enough rest will dramatically reduce the amount of stress you have in your life which is also a factor if your skin health.
Healthy Diet Equals Healthy Skin
Eating right doesn't only consist of eating vegetables and fruits. Many times teenagers will skip meals because they are running late or just don't feel hungry. Teenagers are full of hormones which can cause the brain to think they aren't hungry when really they are and it is just a mixed signal that is sending that sign. It is highly recommended that all teenagers eat at least 3 meals per day with a snack between each one.
Pimples Will Happen
Now I know you don't want pimples but just know if you do everything right from day 1 there is still a change that a pimple of two will slip onto your face. Just because you get one pimple doesn't make it the end of the world, just know that they will happen.
Something that all doctors recommend is not to pick at a pimple because it could cause scarring and even spread the pimple to other parts of your face and body. The best thing to do is pop the pimple and squeeze all bacteria out of the head and then blot the exposed area with an organic cleanser.
